Art Direction and Web Design
ICON by Infusionsoft was one of the largest gatherings of small business owners and marketers from around the world. While Art Director at Resound, I designed the ICON website to create event awareness, promote ticket sales, and encourage speakers and sponsors to engage. From planning to launch, I worked closely with Infusionsoft's event planning team to design a custom web experience – pushing ICON's branding in a new and exciting direction.
Boosting the ICON Brand
In years past, ICON leaned heavily on Infusionsoft's branding and style guide, but for 2017 the planners wanted to move in an "edgy" and "dynamic" direction. Infusionsoft colors remain, but the look is wildly different; bright colors fill white space (differentiating it from the parent company's more sterile brand) and it features CSS animation throughout.
Customizable Day-of Schedules for ICON Attendees
Attendees wanted a customized experience to help tailor their day-of schedules. I redesigned the agenda to include filter options which enabled attendees to search for specific speakers, session types, or software experience levels. Closer to the event, attendees can create their own customized PDF agendas.
The site provides a cohesive experience for visitors regardless of device.
Process is Key
Wireframing most of the pages before development was crucial because I was able to facilitate consensus on overall structure and user flow, which laid out a content strategy for Infusionsoft's event planning team.
